Manage access and permissions to your Tome by using the Share menu

Click the Share button on the top right of your screen to open the sharing settings for your tome. Here, you can set the permissions for your tome, add collaborators by inviting their email addresses (requires a tome account!), or generate a QR code for others to view your tome.

Click on the access toggles to set the permission levels for each of the sharing methods. The toggles are the clickable text blocks such as No access or Can play which will turn into drop down menus when clicked upon. Watch the gif below to see this in action:

In the above example, we set the permission for "Anyone with link" to Can play but for the teammate we invited by email, we only allowed them to comment by toggling the setting to Can comment.

By using the different options available in Tome's sharing menu, you can regulate access to your work as you see fit!

How should I share my tome? Should I use a file, like a PDF?

We encourage you to share your tomes with others via a link to the tome.

Tomes viewed by URL are more responsive (will resize depending on device!), have better media support (like audio/video), and enable you to understand your audience better with Engagement analytics. Viewers do not need a Tome account to view your presentation.

Note: While viewers do not need a Tome account to view your work, Tome links are set by default to not allow anyone with the link to access the content. Toggle the "Anyone with link" setting to Can play if you plan on sharing your tome broadly to ensure the smoothest access experience for your viewers.
